The design comprises a minimalist glass corner which uses frameless glass technology. A long roof light creates a clear distinction between the historic building and the new extension.
Following its original design and build in 1931 by Brownrigg & Hiscock and Milton & Sons respectively, High Cognor was refurbished. This included a bespoke kitchen designed by kitchen and furniture makers, Artichoke.

The Times Eureka Garden and Pavilion was undertaken by NEX and landscape gardener, Marcus Barnett. It was commissioned by The Times Newspaper in association with Kew Gardens for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2011. The pavilion sits on a timber raft constructed from spruce beams and the walls and roof are clad with recycled plastic ‘cells’.
Originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and constructed in 1933, Battersea Power Station was eventually closed down due to pollution and a shift in national policy in power generation in 1983. 28 years later, the Rafael Vinoly-designed masterplan was approved.
