- The Times Eureka Garden and Pavilion
- Location
- Kew, Surrey, UK
The Times Eureka Garden and Pavilion was undertaken by NEX and landscape gardener, Marcus Barnett. It was commissioned by The Times Newspaper in association with Kew Gardens for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2011. The design approach was inspired by the cellular structure of plants and processes of plant growth and formation. The pavilion sits on a timber raft constructed from spruce beams and the walls and roof are clad with recycled plastic ‘cells’.

- Battersea Power Station
- Location
- Nine Elms, London, UK
Originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and constructed in 1933, Battersea Power Station was eventually closed down due to pollution and a shift in national policy in power generation in 1983. 28 years later, the Rafael Vinoly-designed masterplan was approved. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2012. We decided to capture the power station in all its glory for the final time.
